Overview of LBD's activities

Our consultants work in four fields: energy & emissions, end customers, expansion and efficiency. Drawing on experience and expertise, four teams develop answers to complex strategic and operative questions. They evaluate processes and potential at our clients' companies and they develop measures to improve economic success and market position. Our consultants plan and co-ordinate projects and they establish contacts with companies and experts in the energy industry. The establishment and management of know-how are permanent features of each project and part and parcel of our day-to-day work.

If you have a degree in business or engineering that is a cut above the rest, then you could be who we're looking for. Initial work experience is also advantageous. Are you constructive-minded and do you have the courage to defend your own convictions in the face of criticism? Then we would like to meet you. We accept speculative applications for positions in consulting at all times (only in German).

The research unit supports the work of our consultants - with specifically processed information and topic-specific analyses. It makes important contributions to projects and towards building up our company's know-how. The tasks performed range from providing and processing information to long-term support for projects. This also involves the implementation of our EXPLORER information service. Our researchers examine development trends and markets and independently expand our know-how. They use a wide range of internal and external data sources for their work.

If your studies at a technical college or university focused on the energy sector and you have graduated a cut above the rest, then you could be who we're looking for. Are you quick to embrace new topics and do you have strong communication skills? If so, you'll find that research is just the job for you (only in German).

The models team creates the link between energy sector issues and mathematics. This team supports our consultants so that complex mathematical/economic models can be mapped. The team is frequently on board throughout the entire consultancy process; it develops models for power stations and for calculating and optimising energy procurement costs, price analyses and business plans.
